Båtsfjord isn’t called the 'Fishing Capital of Norway' for nothing – and we want to show you why!
Join our crew for an experience of a lifetime as we go out in the Barents Sea on our cabin boat "MS Ellinor", which has space for 6 guests. On the way you will get proper guiding by our local guides, who know these fjords like their own pockets. They have rich knowledge about our region, which includes both Arctic Wildlife and interesting stories from the times of the Second World War, which is a part of Båtsfjords’ history.
On tour we will pass beautiful treeless mountains called “Raudbergan” – which nearly seem like they are changing color as the day passes – and the mountains cater homes for many sea eagles. If we are lucky, we might also observe these sea eagles searching for food and seals or dolphins swimming by in their natural habitat – but what comes to Mother Nature, there is never guarantee - each tour is different!
We cruise in the fjord in Båtsjford and at the end of the cruise we will stop by at our crab pots and lift them up, where you will have time to take some pictures once our guides will give a short brief about the life of a king crab. Afterwards we will take our course back to Båtsfjord Brygge. At the hotel our chefs are going to prepare a delicious meal of the day's catch, which means your meal will be world class seafood, as fresh as it gets!
On tour we serve beverages and snacks and – and you don’t need to worry about the arctic breeze by the Barents Sea – we’ll provide you with a thermal dress and a lifejacket to keep you safe, and warm.
